Project X Zone 2: Brave New World for Nintendo 3DS

About Project X Zone 2: Brave New World for Nintendo 3DS

Project X Zone 2 Brave New World is the full Japanese title of the second giant crossover strategy adventure. Golden chains are appearing across many worlds, warping time and calling heroes and villains out of their own stories. Agents of the Shinra organisation lead the response, and the cast stretches from Resident Evil and Street Fighter to Sakura Wars, Tales and Fire Emblem, all drawn in charming sprite art that longtime players adore.

On the battlefield you move pair units across a grid, then trigger attacks that turn into fast combo sequences where timing your inputs keeps enemies bouncing in the air. Support units swoop in for extra strikes, solo units bring unique skills and charged attacks punish careless positioning. The sequel smooths the pacing of the first game and adds counters and mirage cancels for clever players. Story scenes between stages are playful, warm and packed with references.

Tracking down a copy is part of the fun these days. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, and new digital purchases are no longer possible there. A physical cartridge through a reputable retailer is the honest way to play now, whether you choose a loose copy or a boxed one for the shelf. Owners who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games today.

The same great sequel, wearing its proud Japanese title.
