Zombeer for Nintendo Wii U

About Zombeer for Nintendo Wii U

Zombeer is a comedy first person shooter about a student who wakes after a wild party to find his town overrun by zombies and his girlfriend taken by a strange villain. Armed with odd homemade weapons and a supply of special beer that keeps his own infection in check, he fights across a university and town gone mad. The humor is broad and the tone is proudly playful, spoofing zombie stories at every turn. It knows exactly what kind of game it is and leans into the silliness with confidence.

Shooting mixes with light exploring as you hunt for supplies and story clues. Nail guns, explosive toys and other improvised gear keep combat varied, while managing your infection adds a small twist, since drinking keeps the hero human but blurs his aim when overdone. Enemies range from slow shamblers to quicker threats in fancy dress, because the outbreak hit during celebrations. Levels are compact and linear, making it an easy game to finish over a weekend. It is a cult curio on the Wii U, valued more for laughs and oddness than polish.

Cult curios like this reward dedicated hunters. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Wii U closed in March 2023, and new digital purchases are no longer possible for Zombeer. A physical disc from a retailer exists in some regions and makes a fun shelf piece for horror comedy fans. Players who bought it digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games on their Wii U console.

Silly, scrappy and proudly unlike any other Wii U shooter.
