Parascientific Escape: Crossing at the Farthest Horizon for Nintendo 3DS

About Parascientific Escape: Crossing at the Farthest Horizon for Nintendo 3DS

Parascientific Escape Crossing at the Farthest Horizon is the closing chapter of a visual novel trilogy about young people with psychic powers. Hitomi, a girl who can see glimpses tied to strong emotions, has survived escapes and conspiracies, and now the threads of the earlier stories meet. Friends and enemies return, old questions demand answers and a new danger rises on a distant stage. The mood is quiet science fiction mystery, built on character rather than spectacle.

The story plays out in long visual novel scenes, broken up by investigation and escape room style puzzles. You search scenes, gather items and think through how powers and objects fit together to open the way forward. Choices and careful reading matter, since the plot leans on details planted across all three games. New players can still follow the human drama, but returning readers get the full weight of every reunion. It is a thoughtful finale for a small and earnest series.

You can still join the fun with a little hunting. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible. The honest way to play now is a physical cartridge from a retailer, and stock turns up often in game shops. Owners who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games on their Nintendo 3DS.

Few collections feel complete without a game like this.
