Sumikko Gurashi: Koko ga Ochitsukundesu for Nintendo 3DS

About Sumikko Gurashi: Koko ga Ochitsukundesu for Nintendo 3DS

Sumikko Gurashi Koko ga Ochitsukundesu is a cosy life game starring the Sumikko, the shy little characters who always drift toward the corners of a room. Its title means this is where we settle down, and that feeling guides the whole game. Shirokuma, Penguin, Tonkatsu, Neko and Tokage spend their days in gentle routines, and you help them make a home that feels safe. Cute art, quiet music and small everyday events create one of the calmest experiences on the Nintendo 3DS, a game about friendship, patience and the happiness of a perfect corner.

Most of your time goes into small games and home making. Playing mini games brings in items and furniture, and arranging a room well draws the friends in to enjoy it together. You can collect outfits and decorations, trigger tiny story scenes and snap charming pictures of the group squeezed happily into corners. Goals stay light and optional, so every session can be as short as a cup of tea. The joy here is watching shy characters slowly relax in a space you built for them, which gives the game a warmth that lingers long after you close the lid.

Finding this Japanese release means importing with care. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so fresh digital purchases have ended. A physical cartridge from an import game shop is the realistic way to own it now. Owners who bought the game digitally in earlier years can still access their purchased games on their own system, which keeps their cosy corners safe.

It is a quiet celebration of corners and friendship.
