Ballpoint Universe Infinite for Nintendo Wii U

About Ballpoint Universe Infinite for Nintendo Wii U

Ballpoint Universe Infinite takes place in a world drawn entirely with ballpoint pens. Every hill, hero and monster looks like a doodle from the corner of a school notebook, brought to life with surprising care. You explore small hand drawn towns, talk to odd paper citizens and take on missions in the skies above. Between story moments, the game becomes a fast shoot them up where your paper ship battles waves of ink enemies. The mix of exploring and shooting keeps the adventure feeling fresh and playful.

Your ship can be customized with different weapons and parts earned through missions, letting you build for speed, power or survival. Boss fights are big, strange and drawn with real imagination. On foot, the towns hide secrets, jokes and characters who send you on new flights. The art style is the true star: every frame looks like living notebook art. It is a small game with a big personality, perfect for players who smile when a game looks like nothing else they own.

Since the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Wii U closed in March 2023, new digital purchases are no longer possible for this title. These days the sensible route is a physical disc from a retailer, new or second hand. Players who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games, so long time owners lose nothing. Checking the disc condition and case before you buy is always a smart move with older Wii U releases like this one.

Give it an evening and it will win you over.
