Wii Sports Club for Nintendo Wii U

About Wii Sports Club for Nintendo Wii U

Wii Sports Club brings the five classic Wii Sports events back to the Wii U in high definition, with online play for the first time. Tennis, bowling, golf, baseball and boxing all return, rebuilt with sharper visuals and Wii MotionPlus controls for closer, more skillful play. You can join a regional club, represent your area and face players from other clubs in friendly rivalry. Training games and skill tests help you sharpen each sport between matches. For many players this was the series that defined motion gaming, and this edition treats it with respect.

Online matches change everything. Bowling against a real person in another town feels very different from beating the computer, and club rankings keep you chasing one more win. Golf benefits most from the GamePad, which sits on the floor showing your ball and lie while the television shows the course. MotionPlus makes tennis swings and boxing punches respond with new precision. Local play remains the heart of it for families, with simple controls that welcome total beginners. Each sport can be enjoyed in five minute bursts or long club sessions.

The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Wii U closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible for Wii Sports Club. A physical disc from a retailer collected all five sports in one box and is easy to find today. Players who bought the sports digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games on their Wii U.

Five timeless sports, polished for one more victory lap.
