The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD for Nintendo Wii U

About The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD for Nintendo Wii U

The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess HD returns to the darker Hyrule of the GameCube and Wii classic, polished for Wii U. Link, a quiet ranch hand, is pulled into a realm of twilight and transformed into a wolf, guided by the sharp tongued imp Midna. Together they fight to free the land from the usurper Zant and the shadow behind him. The remaster cleans up the visuals, trims tedious moments and adds amiibo support, including the Wolf Link figure that unlocks a special challenge cave.

The adventure is famous for its grand dungeons, each built around a memorable item and a striking theme, from a mansion in the snow to a city in the sky. On horseback you duel enemies across wide fields, while wolf form brings scent tracking and tightrope walks through the twilight. Midna grows from a teasing mystery into one of the most loved companions in the series. It is a long, generous quest with a somber heart, and this HD edition is the smoothest way to experience it.

Finding a copy today needs a little care. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Wii U closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible. The honest way to play now is a physical disc from a retailer or a trusted game shop. People who bought The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games on their console, and a boxed copy makes a fine keepsake for any Wii U shelf.

It earns a proud place in any Wii U collection.
