Pushmo is the North American name for the beloved block puzzle adventure made by the team behind many Nintendo brain teasers. In Pushmo Park, playful children have climbed into enormous block structures shaped like animals, fruit and famous characters, and the cheerful Mallo must climb each one to bring them down safely. Blocks slide in and out of the back wall, turning flat pictures into staircases with a bit of clever thinking.

Each block can be pulled out up to three spaces, and Mallo can also push from the side, so routes appear where none seemed possible. Gadgets like switches and manholes arrive in later parks and bend the rules in delightful ways, while a rewind button forgives honest mistakes. The studio mode lets you design your own Pushmo and share them as codes, which kept the community building for years. It looks cute, yet the late puzzles are seriously smart.

One fact shapes everything about buying this game now. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible at all. This release was digital only, with no cartridge version in shops, so access rests with the players who bought the game digitally before the closure, and they can still access their purchased games on their consoles.
