Puzzle & Dragons X: Kami no Shou for Nintendo 3DS

About Puzzle & Dragons X: Kami no Shou for Nintendo 3DS

Puzzle and Dragons X Kami no Shou brings the hit orb matching series to Nintendo 3DS as a complete role playing game set in Dragoza, a land kept alive by magical droplets. When the droplets begin to vanish, a young hero who can wear Soul Armour answers the call, gathering monster allies and facing the forces behind the trouble. This gods chapter was one of two versions released in Japan, each with its own monsters to meet.

Combat turns on one elegant idea, dragging a single orb around the board to set up chains of matches before time runs out, with each colour powering monsters of that element. Exploring, questing and capturing fill the hours between battles, and armour crafted from monster souls lets you borrow their powers directly. Planning a route that triggers five or six combos at once takes practice, and the payoff in damage and style is worth every attempt.

Buying a copy today takes a little patience. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible. The honest way to play now is a physical cartridge bought through a trusted retailer or a good second hand shop, and tidy boxed copies still turn up often. People who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games on their own systems today.

Deep, colourful and satisfying for patient puzzle tacticians.
