About Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon for Nintendo 3DS
Luigis Mansion Dark Moon is the second game in the series, made for the Year of Luigi. In Evershade Valley, the Dark Moon keeps the local ghosts calm and friendly, until King Boo shatters it and chaos spreads. Professor E. Gadd once again sends a very unwilling Luigi to fix things, teleporting him between five different mansions. Each location, from a clock factory to a snowy mine, has its own puzzles and ghost types. Luigi and his fearful tiptoeing remain the comedy heart of the whole adventure.
The Poltergust 5000 handles ghost catching, treasure hunting and puzzle solving alike. Flash ghosts with the Strobulb, vacuum them up while they struggle, and use the Dark Light to reveal objects the ghosts have hidden. Missions break the mansions into neat chapters that suit portable play, each ending with a boss or a new piece of the Dark Moon. Hidden gems and Boos reward players who search every room. The ScareScraper multiplayer tower adds cooperative and competitive ghost hunting with friends near and far.

A physical cartridge from a retailer remains the honest way to own and play it on real Nintendo 3DS hardware today. One thing every buyer should know first: the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, and new digital purchases ended with it. Nothing changes for past buyers, who can still access their purchased games if they bought the digital version before the closure.
It is a fine reminder of how varied the Nintendo 3DS library became.
