Pokemon Ultra Sun for Nintendo 3DS

About Pokemon Ultra Sun for Nintendo 3DS

Pokemon Ultra Sun revisits the Alola region with a brighter version of the adventure that began in Pokemon Sun. As a new trainer on the islands, you choose Rowlet, Litten or Popplio and take on the island challenge, visiting lush towns, volcanoes and beaches along the way. The story leans harder into the mystery of Necrozma and the Ultra Wormholes, so even returning players find scenes and surprises that were not there before.

Trials replace gyms, with clever captain tasks and battles against giant Totem Pokemon that can call for help mid fight. This edition adds the Alola Photo Club, Mantine surfing and new Ultra Beasts to catch, while the Battle Agency and other side features keep you busy between story beats. Once the credits roll, the Team Rainbow Rocket episode brings back famous villains for a crowd pleasing finale. Few handheld adventures offer this much to do.

Tracking down a copy is part of the fun these days. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, and new digital purchases are no longer possible there. A physical cartridge through a reputable retailer is the honest way to play now, whether you choose a loose copy or a boxed one for the shelf. Owners who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games today.

It is the fullest way to enjoy sunshine, trials and Ultra Beasts in Alola.
