Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for Nintendo Wii U

About Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for Nintendo Wii U

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate drops you into Moga Village, a fishing town troubled by huge monsters in the sea and the wilds beyond. You play a hunter who arrives with little more than a simple blade and a brave heart. Villagers ask for help, quests send you into forests and flooded ruins, and every victory makes the village safer. The star of the show is the Lagiacrus, a sea wyvern whose attacks shake the whole coast. A loyal helper named Cha Cha joins your hunts with dances and masks.

Hunting is slow, smart and deeply satisfying. You study a monster, track it, then strike with one of many weapon types, each with its own rhythm and moves. Fallen monsters yield scales, bones and hides that turn into stronger armor and weapons, and that loop drives hundreds of hours for devoted players. Underwater battles add a wild twist unique to this entry. The Wii U version shines with crisp visuals, online hunts for groups of friends and touch controls on the GamePad for maps and items.

An honest word on buying this classic today. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Wii U closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible. A physical disc through a retailer is the honest way to play now, and used copies remain easy to find. Hunters who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games on their console. Online servers have ended, yet solo and local hunts remain fully playable.

Every great hunter starts with a single quest.
