Generator Rex Agent of Providence for Nintendo 3DS
About Generator Rex Agent of Providence for Nintendo 3DS
Generator Rex Agent of Providence brings the Cartoon Network hero to Nintendo 3DS. Rex is a teenager who can grow mechanical weapons and vehicles straight from his body thanks to tiny machines in his blood. Rogue mutants called EVOs are causing chaos, and the agency Providence sends Rex to stop them. The story follows the tone of the show, mixing action, humor and a young hero learning to control his gifts.
Combat lets Rex switch between big mechanical forms, from a huge sword arm to a cannon and a fast bike. You fight through city streets and enemy bases, smash crates for parts and face larger boss creatures that need careful dodging. Upgrades improve Rex and open new moves as the story goes on. Fans of the series will spot familiar faces and places, while new players get a simple and lively action adventure.

Today the second hand market is the main road to this game. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible at all. The honest way to play Generator Rex Agent of Providence now is to find a physical cartridge from a retailer you trust. Those who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games whenever they like. Many collectors enjoy hunting for these games now, since shop stock grows smaller with each passing year.
It remains a fine reminder of the Nintendo 3DS era.
