Pokemon Tretta Lab for Nintendo 3DS

About Pokemon Tretta Lab for Nintendo 3DS

Pokemon Tretta Lab is a companion experience built around the Pokemon Tretta arcade machines that were loved across Japan. Using the scanner accessory, players could bring their physical Tretta pucks home, scan them into the software and see their Pokemon appear on screen. The idea was simple and charming, turning a pocket full of arcade pucks into a living collection you could study, compare and admire away from the busy arcade floor.

Inside the lab you can check each Pokemon and its stats, try out team ideas and watch how your collection grows over time. There are also simple battle style tests that let you see your scanned Pokemon in action, which makes the pucks feel more alive than they do sitting in a box. It was aimed squarely at young fans in Japan, and the bright menus and friendly guidance make everything easy to follow even without much reading.

Genre	Simulation

Anyone hoping to play it now should know the current situation. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, which means new digital purchases are no longer possible at all. A physical cartridge found through a retailer is the honest route in, and prices vary a lot between loose and boxed copies. Players who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games whenever they like.

It stands as a sweet snapshot of a very Japanese Pokemon craze.
