Turtle Tale follows Shelldon, a friendly turtle whose peaceful island is invaded by pirates led by the scheming Captain O'Hairy. Armed with a water gun, Shelldon sets off across beaches, caves and jungles to push the invaders out. The game is a classic side scrolling platformer with hand drawn charm and a gentle pace. Enemies waddle along set paths, coins and fruit wait in risky spots, and every level ends with that satisfying sense of a job done. It feels like a warm tribute to the platformers of earlier decades.

Shelldon runs, jumps and squirts water to clear foes and trigger switches. New areas add moving platforms, spiky hazards and slightly tougher enemies, but the challenge stays fair for younger players.
