Toriko: Ultimate Survival for Nintendo 3DS

About Toriko: Ultimate Survival for Nintendo 3DS

Toriko: Ultimate Survival drops Toriko and his companions onto a harsh island for a cooperative action adventure, released in Japan for the Nintendo 3DS. The Gourmet Hunters are chasing legendary ingredients in a place where every animal is huge, hungry and dangerous. You explore the island in third person, gathering food and materials while watching your stamina, because in Toriko world a hunter who stops eating does not stay a hunter for very long.

Up to four players can hunt together, combining the powers of Toriko, Coco, Sunny and Zebra against giant beasts in hunts that feel inspired by cooperative monster hunting games. Solo players can bring computer controlled partners. Defeated creatures become ingredients, ingredients become meals, and meals make the team stronger for the next expedition. The loop of explore, hunt, eat and grow is simple and satisfying, and the island steadily opens into new, tougher hunting grounds for seasoned teams.

The modern way to own Toriko: Ultimate Survival is refreshingly old fashioned. After the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, new digital purchases are no longer possible, so a physical cartridge from a retailer is the honest route today. It is worth the small hunt. Meanwhile, anyone who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games without any extra steps.

Hunt together, eat together and leave the island legends.
