The Voice for Nintendo Wii U

About The Voice for Nintendo Wii U

The Voice brings the famous television singing contest to Wii U, chairs, coaches and all. You step on stage as a hopeful singer, perform popular songs and try to turn the coaches chairs with your voice. The format follows the show, from blind auditions toward later rounds, giving solo singers a clear path to follow. For fans of the program, hearing the familiar phrases and seeing the big red chairs at home carries real novelty, and the song list leans on well known hits.

Gameplay is about singing into a microphone and matching pitch and rhythm as the lyrics scroll. Scoring rewards accuracy, while the presentation keeps the television drama alive between performances. Party play is the natural home for a game like this, with friends taking turns on stage and everyone else acting as judges from the sofa. It asks for a compatible microphone and a willingness to perform, which is exactly the fun. Shy players usually end up singing loudest by the end of the night.

Here is the honest buying picture today. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Wii U closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible. A physical disc from a retailer or a trusted game shop is now the way to play The Voice. Anyone who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games, so nothing they own is lost. Prices vary, so a little patience often finds a fair deal.

A fine reminder of why the Wii U charmed so many.
