About The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds for Nintendo 3DS
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds returns to the Hyrule of A Link to the Past, generations after that classic quest. A villain named Yuga is turning the descendants of the Seven Sages into paintings, and Link gains a magical bracelet that lets him merge into walls as a moving drawing. Flattened against stone, he can slide around corners, cross chasms and slip through cracks into Lorule, a dark mirror kingdom slowly falling apart.
The big change is freedom. Instead of finding items one by one, Link rents gear like the bow, bombs and hookshot from a quirky merchant named Ravio, then buys them for good later. That means most dungeons can be tackled in the order you choose, a rare openness for the series. Rupee collecting suddenly matters a lot. The top down view feels classic, while the 3D effect adds depth to towers and layered dungeon rooms.

Times have changed for Nintendo 3DS shopping. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible. To play The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds today, hunt down a physical cartridge from a retailer, since that is now the honest way to own it. Owners who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games whenever they like.
Two kingdoms, one bracelet and endless clever routes make this quest shine.
