Taiko no Tatsujin: Dokodon! Mystery Adventure! for Nintendo 3DS

About Taiko no Tatsujin: Dokodon! Mystery Adventure! for Nintendo 3DS

Taiko no Tatsujin: Dokodon! Mystery Adventure! sends Don and Katsu on a time travelling mystery packed with songs. Strange events are shaking history, and the drum duo must drum their way through different eras to put things right. The story is silly in the best Taiko way, full of costumes, famous faces from the past and jokes between songs. Each era brings its own look and its own music, so the journey never stays in one place for long.

The drumming stays true to the series. Notes stream toward the target and you strike the drum center or rim in time, building combos and filling the soul gauge to clear each song. This entry adds a battle flavor to parts of the adventure, where strong drumming helps your team beat musical foes. The song list is generous, pulling from anime, pop, vocaloid style tracks and classic game tunes. Extra modes and unlockables give skilled drummers plenty to chase after the story ends.

Like its brothers on the system, this Taiko adventure was a Japan only release. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible. The honest route today is a Japanese physical cartridge from a retailer or import shop. Anyone who bought the digital version before the closure can still access their purchased games on their Japanese 3DS.

Time travel has never sounded this catchy or this silly.
