Taiko no Tatsujin: Chibi Dragon to Fushigi na Orb for Nintendo 3DS
About Taiko no Tatsujin: Chibi Dragon to Fushigi na Orb for Nintendo 3DS
Taiko no Tatsujin: Chibi Dragon to Fushigi na Orb brings the beloved Japanese drum series to the Nintendo 3DS with a full story mode. Don, the cheerful drum hero, meets a small lost dragon and sets off on a journey across a musical land. Notes roll across the screen in time with the music, and you tap the drum to the beat using the touch screen or buttons. The adventure wraps the rhythm action in a cute tale that gives every song a place in the journey.
Playing is joyful and simple. Red notes ask for a drum center hit, blue notes for a rim hit, and long notes and rolls reward fast and steady hands. Songs range from gentle tunes to fierce charts that will test even veteran drummers. Clearing songs moves the story forward and opens new stages, costumes and challenges. The track list mixes Japanese pop, anime themes and game music, so there is always a new favorite waiting. It is easy to start and wonderfully hard to put down.

This entry stayed in Japan, so most western fans know it by reputation. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible today. A Japanese physical cartridge from a retailer that handles imports is the honest way to play now. Players who bought it digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games on a Japanese system as usual.
A happy drum adventure that turns every song into a small journey.
