Rayman 3D for Nintendo 3DS

About Rayman 3D for Nintendo 3DS

Rayman 3D brings the beloved adventure Rayman 2 to the Nintendo 3DS as a launch era port with added depth. Robo pirates led by Admiral Razorbeard have invaded the Glade of Dreams and shattered the Heart of the World into a thousand yellow Lums, and Rayman must gather them, free his friends and stop the invasion. It is a colourful fairy tale world of swamps, caves and pirate ships, full of charm and gentle humour throughout.

Rayman runs, jumps, climbs and fires energy from his hands, and as the adventure grows he gains powers like helicopter hair gliding and swimming through deep waters. Levels mix platforming, exploration and set pieces like sliding escapes and flying shell rides that still feel thrilling today. Collecting Lums opens the way forward and rewards curious players who check behind waterfalls and down side paths. As a piece of platforming history in your pocket, it holds up with real grace.

Anyone hoping to play it now should know the current situation. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, which means new digital purchases are no longer possible at all. A physical cartridge found through a retailer is the honest route in, and prices vary a lot between loose and boxed copies. Players who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games whenever they like.

A classic adventure that still shines in handheld form.
