Phineas & Ferb: Quest for Cool Stuff for Nintendo 3DS

About Phineas & Ferb: Quest for Cool Stuff for Nintendo 3DS

Phineas and Ferb are determined to make this the best summer ever, and that means collecting the coolest stuff they can find. Based on the hit cartoon, Quest for Cool Stuff sends the stepbrothers digging through backyards, museums and other playful places in search of amazing items for their museum of cool. Meanwhile, their sister Candace is as eager as ever to bust them, and Agent P slips away for his own secret missions against the hapless Dr. Doofenshmirtz. The jokes, voices and bright look of the show carry the whole adventure from start to finish.

The game mixes light platforming with simple exploring and collecting. You run, jump and dig through each area, gathering gadgets and machine parts that the boys use to build their wild inventions. Levels are short and friendly, with secrets tucked behind corners for curious players. Perry the Platypus gets his own stealth flavored sections that break up the main quest nicely. Nothing here is punishing, which suits the cartoon perfectly, and younger players can enjoy the story without fighting the controls. Fans will spot plenty of familiar faces along the way.

Buying Phineas & Ferb today means thinking physical. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, which ended new digital purchases for good. A physical cartridge from a retailer is now the honest route for new players. Long time owners are covered too, since anyone who bought it digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games on the system they call home.

Summer may end, but this little adventure stays sunny.
