About Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy for Nintendo 3DS
Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy closes the second Layton trilogy with a journey that circles the whole world. A letter about a living mummy leads Professor Layton, Luke and Emmy to the snowy town of Froenborg, where they free a young woman named Aurora from the ice. She is tied to the ancient Azran civilisation, and the sinister Targent organisation will do anything to claim that legacy first, so the race is on from the very start.
The adventure visits deserts, jungles and island towns, each packed with the brain teasers the series does so well, from logic problems to sliding blocks and lateral thinking riddles. More than five hundred puzzles appear across the main quest and daily puzzle extras, and a gentle hint coin system keeps frustration low. Dress up games, a nut rolling squirrel and other side diversions add charm between story beats. Emotional scenes give Emmy and the Professor a worthy send off.

One change matters most for anyone shopping today. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible on Nintendo 3DS at all. The honest way to play now is a physical cartridge sourced through a retailer, and patient buyers can still find fair prices. People who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games whenever they wish.
A rich and heartfelt finale that puzzle fans should not miss.
