Pokemon SoulSilver for Nintendo Wii U

About Pokemon SoulSilver for Nintendo Wii U

Pokemon SoulSilver revisits the Johto region in a rich remake filled with memory and heart. Starting in New Bark Town, you choose a starter and set off to earn badges, fill your Pokedex and challenge the best trainers around. The legendary Lugia rises from the Whirl Islands as the story deepens. Gentle towns, the Radio Tower and the Bell Tower give Johto a calm character that players have loved for years.

Turn based battles reward careful team building, and your first Pokemon walks behind you as you explore. After the Johto League, the entire Kanto region opens with eight more gyms and a famous final challenge on a snowy mountain. Extras like the Pokeathlon and the Battle Frontier stretch the journey even further. Few Pokemon games offer this much to do, and SoulSilver wraps it all in a warm and nostalgic mood. The presentation keeps everything clear and readable, so your focus stays on playing well instead of fighting the screen. It respects your time as well: progress always feels visible, even after a short evening session with the GamePad.

Playing Pokemon SoulSilver today starts with a physical copy. Since the Wii U eShop closed in March 2023, new digital purchases are no longer possible at all. Retailers and second hand game shops are the honest places to look now. Players who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games, so older digital libraries remain playable.

Some journeys stay with you, and Johto is one of them.
