About Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth for Nintendo 3DS
Persona Q2 New Cinema Labyrinth traps the heroes of Persona 3, Persona 4 and Persona 5 inside a mysterious cinema where films are worlds and the exits are sealed. The Phantom Thieves take the lead, soon joined by the Investigation Team and SEES, all drawn in a cute chibi style that hides a serious story about identity and the masks people wear. Exploring movie themed labyrinths, from superhero cities to dinosaur jungles, the teams hunt for a way home.
Battles and exploring follow the Etrian Odyssey inspired systems of the first Persona Q. You draw maps on the touch screen, fight Shadows in turn based battles and exploit enemy weaknesses to earn all out attacks and boosts. Fusion in the Velvet Room builds stronger Personas, and the huge cast lets you craft parties mixing heroes from all three games. Special screenings add side stories and rewards. It is a long, rich dungeon crawler and a love letter that many fans rate among the finest spin offs in the series.

If you want to play it today, plan around one fact. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible. A physical cartridge from a retailer is the honest route now, whether new old stock or a cared for used copy. Anyone who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games as before.
For the right player, this one still shines today.
