New Art Academy for Nintendo 3DS

About New Art Academy for Nintendo 3DS

New Art Academy turns the handheld into a small art school. A friendly tutor named Vince guides you through lessons that begin with simple pencil sketches and grow toward full paintings with color, light and texture. The stylus becomes your pencil, brush and pastel, and the touch screen responds to angle and pressure in a way that makes each tool feel different. Lessons are built around real subjects, from fruit and animals to landscapes, and every finished piece can be saved to your own little gallery with pride.

The course is carefully structured for true beginners. Each lesson introduces one idea at a time, like shading a sphere or mixing a skin tone, then lets you practice it on a complete picture with guidance at every step. Free paint mode removes the tutor and hands you the full toolbox, including pastels, colored pencils and water paints that blend on the page. Extra lessons were offered beyond the main course, and sharing your gallery with friends turns practice into a small exhibition.

Genre	Art
Publisher	Nintendo
Platform	Nintendo 3DS
Release	2012
Available on	Physical copies for Nintendo 3DS

The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible. The honest way to play now is a physical cartridge from a retailer. This tutor enjoyed a full retail release and sold to a wide audience, so boxed copies with their larger case are still an easy and pleasant find. Anyone who bought it digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games.

Pick up the stylus, trust the lesson and surprise yourself by lesson three.
