Naruto Shippuden 3D: The New Era for Nintendo 3DS

About Naruto Shippuden 3D: The New Era for Nintendo 3DS

Naruto Shippuden 3D The New Era was one of the earliest Naruto adventures built for this system, and it uses the 3D in its name with pride. A conflict is brewing between the ninja nations, and Naruto travels across forests, deserts and enemy strongholds to uncover the plot before war breaks out. The story is original to the game, giving fans a fresh mission rather than a retelling, and familiar allies join Naruto along the road with their own abilities and advice for the fights and obstacles ahead of him.

The action runs through side scrolling stages with a sense of depth, as Naruto dashes, jumps and fights enemies in his path. Combat mixes quick strikes with Rasengan powered special attacks, and support characters can be called in to clear a screen or break a defense. The gyroscope and camera features of the system add small playful touches, including the option to place a favorite character in your world through the camera.

Today the search starts in a different place. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible. A physical cartridge from a retailer is the way to own this game now. This early action title had a normal boxed release in many regions, so second hand cartridges are not hard to find for fans building a Naruto shelf. Anyone who picked it up digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games on their own system.

A new era, a fresh plot and a race to stop a ninja war.
