Mario & Luigi RPG Paper Mario MIX for Nintendo 3DS

About Mario & Luigi RPG Paper Mario MIX for Nintendo 3DS

Mario and Luigi RPG Paper Mario MIX is the Japanese release of the Paper Jam adventure. Luigi tips over a mysterious book in the castle and paper versions of familiar characters pour into the real Mushroom Kingdom. Bowser joins forces with Paper Bowser, both Peaches are taken, and Paper Mario steps out of the book to help the brothers. The Japanese MIX name reflects how fully the two Mario styles blend together here.

The battle system rewards sharp timing, with jumps, hammers and special moves that grow stronger when you press buttons at the right moment. Paper Mario can make copies of himself to boost attacks and soak up damage, and trio moves let all three heroes act together. Papercraft battles change the pace completely, putting you in charge of huge paper models in charge and chase arena fights. Exploration uses trio abilities to fly, dig and squeeze through the bright paper touched landscape.

For collectors outside Japan, this MIX edition means an import copy. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, which means new digital purchases are no longer possible. The honest way to play now is a physical cartridge from a retailer selling Japanese releases, bought with care and checked on arrival. Anyone who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games, so the adventure stays open to its earlier owners.

Same paper chaos, wearing its Japanese MIX name.
