LEGO The Movie Videogame for Nintendo 3DS

About LEGO The Movie Videogame for Nintendo 3DS

LEGO The Movie Videogame follows the hit animated film. Emmet is a cheerful and ordinary construction worker in Bricksburg who follows every instruction in life. When he stumbles onto a mysterious relic, the rebel Master Builders name him the Special, the one from a prophecy who can stop the evil Lord Business. His plan to freeze the world with the Kragle threatens every Lego realm. Emmet teams up with Wyldstyle, Batman and a wild cast of builders to save creativity itself from a very tidy villain.

Builders split into two kinds: regular characters who follow instruction pages to build, and Master Builders who create freely from piles of bricks. Switching between them solves puzzles in clever ways that match the film and its message. Levels jump between worlds like the Old West and Cloud Cuckoo Land, each with its own style and jokes. The hit song spirit runs through the game, keeping energy high. Collecting pants, instruction pages and characters adds replay value, and the whole adventure celebrates building whatever your imagination dreams up.

Physical copies still circulate through retailers and second hand shops, and a cartridge is the honest way to play today. There is an honest catch for new players. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, which means new digital purchases are no longer possible. Those who picked it up digitally before March 2023 can still access their purchased games on the system they used.

It is a fine reminder of how varied the Nintendo 3DS library became.
