Grand Prix Rock 'N Racing for Nintendo Wii U

About Grand Prix Rock 'N Racing for Nintendo Wii U

Grand Prix Rock 'N Racing is an arcade racer built for people who love speed and loud guitars. You pick a car, hit famous style circuits and fight for position against a pack of hungry rivals. The view sits above and behind the car, giving the races an old school feel with modern shine. There is no heavy simulation here, just fast laps, close battles and the constant urge to shave one more second off your best time.

Smart driving wins races as much as raw pace. Slipstreaming the car ahead builds your turbo, and spending that boost on the right straight can steal a whole row of places. Corners punish greed, though, since one brush with the wall can undo a lap of good work. Time trial modes let you learn each track in peace, while the grand prix cups stack races into a proper championship fight. Rock music pounds along with the action, keeping every lap loud and urgent.

Playing this one today means thinking about discs. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Wii U closed in March 2023, which ended new digital purchases for the system. The honest option now is a physical disc from a retailer, and plenty of shops still stock Wii U games at fair prices. Anyone who bought it digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games as normal.

Turn it up, floor it and chase that chequered flag.
