Doubutsu no Mori Happy Home Designer is the Japanese name for Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer, a spin off built entirely around the joy of decorating. You join Nook Homes as a new designer, and animal villagers arrive each day asking for homes that match their dreams, from a cake filled cottage to a spooky mansion. There is no mortgage pressure and no way to fail, just a huge sandbox of furniture and happy clients.

Each job starts with a theme and a few items the villager loves, then the whole plot, house and garden are yours to shape. The touch screen makes arranging rooms fast and fun, and new furniture unlocks constantly as you work. Soon you are also designing the towns school, hospital, shops and other public buildings, choosing their look inside and out. With hundreds of villagers to serve, the game is a bottomless well of cozy creative play. Every finished home feels like a tiny gift to its owner.
