Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze begins with a birthday party ruined by Viking invaders called the Snowmads. A freezing wind blows Donkey Kong and his family far from home, and their island paradise is turned to ice. The Kongs must journey across six islands to win their home back. Every world is bursting with detail, from savanna storms to underwater ruins and alpine peaks. It is a beautiful game with a playful heart, and it is also one of the toughest and most rewarding platformers of its generation.

Donkey Kong teams up with Diddy, Dixie and Cranky, and each partner brings a helpful move. Dixie floats with her hair, Diddy jets across gaps, and Cranky bounces on his cane like a pogo stick. Levels are long, clever and full of secrets, including puzzle pieces and hidden exits. Mine carts, rocket barrels and swimming stages keep the action varied, while the music blends fresh tunes with beloved classics. Two players can share the adventure together, making the hard parts funnier and the victories sweeter.
