Doctor Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights for Nintendo 3DS

About Doctor Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights for Nintendo 3DS

Doctor Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights follows a Paris professor and treasure hunter who cannot resist a mystery. When a young woman brings him an ancient device linked to the lost treasure of King Louis XIV, Lautrec and his assistant Sophie dive into a hunt across museums, catacombs and noble salons. Rival treasure hunters and a secretive order stand in their way, and the story delights in cliffhangers and narrow escapes.

The adventure mixes several styles of play. Exploration scenes ask you to search rooms and solve object puzzles, stealth sections have you slipping past guards, and conflicts are settled in card based duels where summoned spirits fight at your side. Managing your spirit deck between missions adds a light strategy layer, since the right companions make tough duels far easier. The variety keeps the long treasure hunt lively, and Paris itself is drawn with real affection. Paris locations give every chapter a fresh backdrop.

Treasure hunters today will dig through the used market for this one. Since the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, new digital purchases are no longer possible. A physical cartridge is the honest find, and it appears regularly in retro game shops at modest prices. Players who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games whenever the mood for mystery returns.

A varied adventure with real old fashioned charm.
