Demon King Box for Nintendo 3DS

About Demon King Box for Nintendo 3DS

Demon King Box flips the usual fantasy story on its head by putting you in charge of the villain. You are the demon king, and waves of heroes keep invading your lands to steal your glory. Your job is to summon monsters, place them wisely and crush the invasion before it reaches your throne. The game blends strategy battles with light card game ideas, all drawn in a bold and playful dark fantasy style.

Before each battle you build your forces from the monster cards you have collected, choosing units that cover each others weaknesses. Positioning matters a great deal, since a strong monster in the wrong lane will watch heroes march past it. Winning battles earns new cards and lets your kingdom grow between fights, unlocking tougher units and fresh tricks. The campaign keeps raising the stakes with new hero types that demand new answers from your army. New monster cards keep your defensive plans evolving every chapter.

This quirky title lived on the digital storefront, so times have changed for it. Since the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, new digital purchases are no longer possible. The honest way to play now is on a system where the game was bought before that date, since those players can still access their purchased games. It never had a wide physical release, so listings are rare and worth grabbing when seen.

Being the bad guy has rarely felt this fun.
