Crazy Chicken Director’s Cut for Nintendo 3DS

About Crazy Chicken Director’s Cut for Nintendo 3DS

Crazy Chicken Director’s Cut brings the famous Moorhuhn chickens to the Nintendo 3DS in a shooting gallery dressed as a film studio. The chickens have taken over movie sets, hiding behind props, popping out of scenery and generally ruining every take, and your job is to score as many hits as you can before the clock runs out. It is a simple and proudly silly game built on quick eyes and quicker aiming, with cartoon sound effects and chickens in costume causing chaos in every scene.

Each set is packed with targets and secrets. Chickens wear outfits matching the film being shot, bonus items hide in the scenery, and shooting the right objects can trigger jokes and extra points. The gyro and touch options of the system make aiming feel direct, and short rounds encourage one more attempt to beat your best score. Hidden chickens reward players who watch the whole scene instead of only the obvious spots. It never pretends to be deep, but as a cheerful score attack game it delivers exactly what it promises.

Cheerful shooting galleries like this are fun curiosities for a collection. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible. Physical copies were limited in many regions, so a retailer or second hand search is the plan for collectors. Players who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games on their 3DS and keep the chickens nervous.

Lights, camera, chickens everywhere.
