Brain Age: Concentration Training for Nintendo 3DS

About Brain Age: Concentration Training for Nintendo 3DS

Brain Age Concentration Training is a brain training game built around one modern problem, the struggle to focus. A floating version of Doctor Kawashima guides you through short daily exercises meant to strengthen working memory and concentration. The famous Devilish Training drills push your mind hard in five minute bursts, asking you to remember numbers, words and cards while new ones keep coming. It is playful on the surface and surprisingly demanding underneath, like a friendly gym coach for your brain.

Alongside the hard drills sit gentler games and puzzles. You solve math problems at speed, play card matching games, listen and recall, and enjoy relaxed modes like a block puzzle when your mind needs a break. The game tracks your results day by day, draws little graphs of your progress and stamps your calendar for each session. Short daily play is the whole point, so sessions fit easily into a morning routine. Competing against your own past scores becomes oddly addictive.

Brain training fans today will find this one on cartridge easily. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible. The honest way to play now is a physical cartridge from a retailer, and this title had a wide boxed release. Players who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games on their system. Used copies are common and usually very cheap to pick up.

It is a smart daily habit dressed up as a game.
