Bomberman Blitz brings the classic bomb battle formula to the Nintendo 3DS as a compact multiplayer treat. You and your rivals run through grid arenas, drop bombs and try to trap each other in the blast lines. Power ups make your bombs bigger, faster and more dangerous, while one careless step can end your round in a flash. The formula is simple, famous and endlessly funny with friends. Even solo players get a full set of computer rivals to practice against.

Matches are quick and full of sudden reversals. Kicking bombs, throwing them over walls and riding the chaos of chain explosions keeps every round fresh. Up to eight players can join local battles, which turns the little cartridge into a party in your pocket. Different arena layouts and rule options let you shape the match to your group. The touch screen shows the arena clearly, and short rounds make it perfect for handing the system around between games.

This early digital title is a tricky one today. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible.
