Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why’d You Steal Our Garbage? for Nintendo 3DS

About Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why’d You Steal Our Garbage? for Nintendo 3DS

Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why’d You Steal Our Garbage? begins with a crime most foul: the Ice King has stolen Finn and Jake’s garbage to build himself a garbage princess. Our heroes respond the only sensible way, by setting off on a full scale adventure across the Land of Ooo. Made with the show’s creator close at hand, the game plays like a playful tribute to the classic top down quests of gaming history.

You roam a colorful world map of kingdoms and landmarks, then drop into side on battles when enemies strike. Finn fights with sword skills and collected items while Jake’s stretching powers unlock new paths as the story grows. Towns are full of characters from the show with quests and jokes to share, and dungeons hide the big showdowns. It captures the sweet and strange spirit of early Adventure Time beautifully. WayForward’s love for the source shows in every animation, from Jake’s wobbling walks to the Ice King’s dramatic and very silly entrances.

This garbage hunt now runs on cartridges. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible for the game. A physical copy from a retailer is the honest way to play it today. Fans who bought it digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games whenever Ooo calls.

A charming quest that fans of the show and classic adventures both love.
