Yo Kai Watch 3 for Nintendo 3DS

About Yo Kai Watch 3 for Nintendo 3DS

Yo Kai Watch 3 widens the series world in a big way. Nate moves with his family to the United States, where new Yo Kai, new friends and a UFO flavored mystery await in the town of St. Peanutsburg. Back in Springdale, a young girl named Hailey Anne starts her own adventure with the space loving Usapyon and a detective agency of her own. The two stories cross and blend, giving the game a globe trotting feel unlike anything else in the series at the time.

A new battle grid lets your Yo Kai move around the field, dodging attacks and lining up their own with more strategy than before. Dream style mini games, a zombie night mode and even a little farming and river rafting fill the hours between story beats. The sheer amount of content is the headline: hundreds of Yo Kai, two maps and side stories everywhere you look. It is the biggest entry of the handheld trilogy and a loving send off for the series on this system.

This big finale takes a bit of effort to own today. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible. The physical cartridge had a limited run in the west and has become a collector target, so check prices carefully before buying. Digital owners from the store era can still access their purchased games on their Nintendo 3DS as normal. However you reach it, St. Peanutsburg and Springdale both reward the trip across the ocean.

Two hometowns double the spirits and the stories.
