About Xenoblade X for Nintendo Wii U
Xenoblade X is the shorter name many fans use for the great Wii U expedition to planet Mira. Human survivors of a destroyed Earth wake on an alien world and build New Los Angeles beside the wreck of their ship. As a new member of BLADE you head into the wilds to plant probes, fight native beasts and search for the Lifehold, the missing piece that holds the sleeping colonists. The sense of stepping into a truly alien landscape, where glowing plants tower overhead, gives every first hour a feeling of real discovery.
The world opens in layers. Early missions stay on foot, teaching arts based combat where timing, position and party teamwork decide fights. Later you earn your Skell license and the planet changes completely, as your giant robot storms across plains and finally takes to the sky. Continents that once took an hour to cross become minutes of flight over oceans and peaks. Side quests are famously rich, telling small human stories about building a new society. This depth is why fans speak of Xenoblade X with such lasting affection years later.

The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Wii U closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible now. Hunt for a physical disc from a retailer under the full Chronicles name, since that is what the box uses. Anyone who bought it digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games on their Wii U.
Call it X or call it Chronicles X, Mira is unforgettable.
