Twin Robots for Nintendo Wii U
About Twin Robots for Nintendo Wii U
Twin Robots is a puzzle platformer about two small machines trapped in a dangerous factory. The twist is that the robots share one battery, so energy spent by one is energy the other cannot use. You guide both robots toward the exit of each room, passing power back and forth as you solve traps and open doors. One robot might be caught in a crusher while the other races to free it. The clean, dark factory style and sad little heroes give this small game a surprisingly strong heart.
Levels mix timing challenges with teamwork puzzles. Spikes, saws, lasers and moving platforms threaten both robots, and a mistake by either can end the run. Sharing energy becomes a constant decision, since exploring too far with one robot can leave the other helpless. A friend can join in local co op, with each player controlling one robot, which turns the battery sharing into real teamwork and plenty of shouting. Solo players switch between the pair and plan every move. Later rooms demand careful planning, making each escape feel earned.

Robot rescuers face a familiar modern problem. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Wii U closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible for Twin Robots. Tracking down a physical disc from a retailer is difficult for a title this small, so complete console bundles are worth checking. Players who bought it digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games and free the robots again.
A small game about teamwork that punches above its weight.
