About Tokyo Mirage Sessions FE for Nintendo Wii U
Tokyo Mirage Sessions FE mixes a modern Japanese pop idol story with the heroes of Fire Emblem. Young performers in Tokyo discover that shining stages hide a secret war, as hostile beings called Mirages drain people of their creative energy. Your party members bond with friendly Mirages based on classic Fire Emblem characters, gaining costumes and powers drawn from them. Between battles you explore bright districts, watch story scenes about auditions and concerts, and see shy beginners grow into confident stars.
Combat is turn based and rewards smart teamwork. Hitting an enemy weakness starts a Session, a chain where allies follow up with their own attacks in a flashy combo. Weapons and skills can be strengthened at a special studio, and new stage performances unlock powerful special moves. Dungeons take the form of warped idol themed realms full of switches, traps and puzzles. The Wii U GamePad shows maps and messages while you play. Managing skills so Sessions trigger often is the key to beating tough bosses, and the music filled battles never feel routine.

The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Wii U closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible for this game. A physical disc from a retailer is the clear way to own it today, and its striking box art makes it a shelf favorite. Players who bought it digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games on their console.
A pop concert and a fantasy quest in one, and it works beautifully.
