Thor: God of Thunder for Nintendo 3DS

About Thor: God of Thunder for Nintendo 3DS

Thor: God of Thunder is the action game companion to the Marvel film, putting you in the boots of the Norse god before the events of the movie. When Thor defies his father Odin and attacks the frost giants of Jotunheim, he sparks a chain of events that threatens all the Nine Realms. The story sends him across mythic worlds, from icy wastes to fiery Muspelheim, battling giants and trolls to repair the damage his pride has caused.

Combat revolves around Mjolnir, the famous hammer. Thor bashes enemies up close, hurls the hammer across the arena and calls down lightning, wind and storms as his powers grow. Big enemies can be grabbed and finished with dramatic grapple moves, and the Nintendo 3DS version shows the action in 3D with comic style story scenes. Upgrades let you shape Thor into a brawler or a storm caller. It is a straightforward heroic romp that understands the appeal of smashing giants.

Times have changed for Nintendo 3DS shopping. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible. To play Thor: God of Thunder today, hunt down a physical cartridge from a retailer, since that is now the honest way to own it. Owners who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games whenever they like.

Bring the thunder, quite literally, and the realms will thank you.
