The Amazing Spider Man for Nintendo 3DS

About The Amazing Spider Man for Nintendo 3DS

The Amazing Spider Man picks up after the events of the film, with Oscorp experiments gone wrong unleashing new hybrid creatures across Manhattan. Peter Parker must swing back into action to contain the outbreak and face the people pulling the strings. The 3DS version tells the same tale in a form built for the handheld, mixing brawling, stealth and web swinging through the city. Fans of the film get a true follow up story rather than a simple retelling, which makes it a nice companion piece.

Combat focuses on quick combos, dodges and web based moves that tie enemies down. Stealth sections let you crawl on ceilings and pick off guards one by one, while boss fights pit you against giant hybrid foes. Between story missions you can take on side tasks around the city and hunt for collectible comic pages. Upgrades strengthen your suit and skills as the danger grows. The pace stays snappy, and swinging between buildings never stops being a simple joy, even in this compact version.

This web swinging chapter was sold on cartridge and digitally in its day. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible today. A physical cartridge from a retailer is the honest way to play the 3DS version now. Anyone who bought it digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games on their own system as before.

A compact Spidey sequel with big city energy.
