Sumikko Gurashi Koko Doko Nandesu? for Nintendo 3DS
About Sumikko Gurashi Koko Doko Nandesu? for Nintendo 3DS
Sumikko Gurashi Koko Doko Nandesu is a cute game about the Sumikko, a group of shy little characters who feel safest tucked into corners. Shirokuma the chilly polar bear, Penguin, Tonkatsu, Neko the cat and Tokage all appear in this collection built around their gentle world. The title asks where everyone is hiding, and the answer is usually the cosiest corner of the room. Through a pile of small games and sweet scenes, you spend time with the group, decorate spaces for them and enjoy the humour that made these characters loved across Japan.
The fun comes in small bites. Mini games ask you to sort, stack, spot and serve, each one simple enough for young players yet charming for grown fans too. Playing earns items and furniture to fill rooms where the Sumikko can relax, and watching them settle into a corner you prepared is half the pleasure. Short illustrated moments show the friends helping each other in their timid way. Everything moves at a soft pace with no pressure to win, which makes the game a gentle first step into gaming for children and a stress free treat for collectors of cute things.

Import hunting is the story for this Japanese release. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, ending new digital purchases. A physical cartridge from an import game retailer is the way to buy it now, and region checking matters before any order. Players who bought the game digitally years ago can still access their purchased games on their own system.
It is corner loving cuteness from beginning to end.
