Sumikko Gurashi: Here You Settle Down for Nintendo 3DS

About Sumikko Gurashi: Here You Settle Down for Nintendo 3DS

Sumikko Gurashi Here You Settle Down is a gentle life game about the shy Sumikko friends finding a place where they belong. The little group, a chilly polar bear, an unsure penguin, a leftover tonkatsu, a shy cat and a dinosaur pretending to be a lizard, loves nothing more than a safe corner to share. In this game you help them settle into daily life, playing small games, gathering furniture and shaping rooms where everyone can relax. The mood is soft and kind from the first minute, celebrating quiet friendship and the comfort of being accepted as you are.

Days are filled with light activities. Mini games earn coins and items, which you spend on furniture, wallpaper and decorations to build dream rooms corner by corner. The Sumikko wander in and out, reacting to the spaces you make and posing for sweet photo moments. Small stories show the friends supporting each other through tiny worries, always solved with patience and tea. There is no way to fail and no clock to beat, so the game suits bedtime play and calm afternoons. Watching a plain room slowly become the perfect corner is quietly satisfying every time.

This Japanese favourite takes an import route today. Because the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, new digital purchases are no longer possible. Look for a physical cartridge through an import friendly retailer and confirm the region before buying. Anyone who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games on their own Nintendo 3DS system.

It is a warm hug of a game about belonging.
