SpongeBob SquarePants Planktons Robotic Revenge is an action game about Plankton finally going big. Tired of failing alone, he builds a giant robot and an army of mechanical minions to storm the Krusty Krab and steal the secret formula. SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, Sandy and Mr Krabs grab an arsenal of silly gadget weapons and fight back across Bikini Bottom and beyond. The story plays like a big cartoon episode, full of jokes, chases and over the top inventions, with Plankton ranting and scheming behind every new wave of robots.

The action is run and gun fun with a cartoon twist. Your blasters fire pickles, bubbles and other nonsense, and earned parts let you upgrade weapons to hit harder and shoot faster. Each character handles a little differently, which keeps replaying levels enjoyable. Levels are short stages packed with robot crowds, simple platform hops and boss fights against Planktons bigger machines. It never takes itself seriously, and that is the charm. Blasting a screen full of clanking robots with a pickle cannon is exactly as joyful as it sounds.
