Silver Falls: 3 Down Stars for Nintendo 3DS

About Silver Falls: 3 Down Stars for Nintendo 3DS

Silver Falls 3 Down Stars is a survival horror role playing game set in the odd mountain town of Silver Falls. Strange lights, a fallen star and odd behavior among the townsfolk set a heavy mood, and you guide a small group of locals as they try to understand what is happening around them. The game was made with love for classic horror adventures, with fixed mood shots, limited resources and a story that treats its small town setting with real care and affection.

Exploration and careful planning matter more than fast reactions. You search buildings and streets for supplies, solve simple puzzles and face twisted creatures with whatever weapons and items you have managed to save. Party members bring different strengths, and managing health and ammo is part of every decision. The writing gives the town a lived in feeling, with side stories that reward curious players. It is a niche and heartfelt project, made by a tiny team for fans of older horror games.

Availability needs a clear word: the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases of this game have ended. A physical cartridge is not common for this title, so most hunters will be checking game shops and second hand listings with care and patience. Players who bought the digital release before the closure can still access their purchased games on their Nintendo 3DS. Given its tiny audience, listings appear rarely and sell fast.

Patient horror fans will find a labor of love here.
