Samurai G for Nintendo 3DS
About Samurai G for Nintendo 3DS
Samurai G is a fast side scrolling action game about a samurai with a single minded goal: collecting gold. The legendary Tengu is said to guard a fortune, and our hero cuts a path through forests and enemy swordsmen to claim it. The game belongs to the runner style family, where your character keeps moving forward and your skill is measured in reactions, jumps and perfectly timed sword strikes. It is small, quick and focused entirely on flow.
As you sprint, enemies leap into your path and your blade answers with quick slashes that keep the run alive. Gold coins scatter everywhere, and grabbing them while dodging pits and blades builds your score. One mistake can end a run, which keeps every second tense, but instant restarts make it easy to try again. The simple art and brisk pace suit short sessions perfectly, and score chasers will enjoy squeezing more coins out of routes they thought they had mastered.

This little runner belongs to the eShop era now. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible, and no cartridge edition was made. Its home is the systems of players who grabbed it while the store was open. Those players can still access their purchased games, so the gold hunt can continue whenever they feel the urge.
It is a quick slash of arcade fun.
