Pac Man Party 3D for Nintendo 3DS

About Pac Man Party 3D for Nintendo 3DS

Pac Man Party 3D takes Pac Man off the maze and onto a game board. Players roll, race around colorful boards and fight over a simple prize that everyone understands. Cookies. Landing on spaces triggers events and mini games, and the player holding the most cookies when the game ends takes the crown. Pac, Blinky and a cast of cartoon friends and rivals bring the party to life with the bright look of a Saturday morning show.

The mini games are the heart of the party, with quick challenges that use buttons, touch and timing in short bursts anyone can learn. Winning games and clever board play grow your cookie pile, while unlucky spaces can snatch it away, so no lead ever feels safe. The 3D presentation suits the handheld well, and matches can be enjoyed against the computer or shared with friends in spirit through hot seat style fun. It is light, silly and built for laughter rather than deep strategy.

The shop door is closed, but the game is not lost. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible. The honest way to play now is a physical cartridge from a retailer, new or used. People who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games, which keeps old libraries alive and well.

A small gem that deserves a place in any collection.
